Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a request through PreconDesk ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not submit a request or use our services.

2. Services

PreconDesk provides trade-specific quantity takeoff services for construction projects, including but not limited to painting, flooring, and roofing takeoffs. All deliverables consist of a quantity takeoff spreadsheet, a marked-up plan set, and an assumptions and exclusions page, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Turnaround Time

Our goal is to deliver completed takeoffs within 48 hours. However, this timeframe is a target, not a guarantee. The 48-hour window begins only after both of the following conditions are met:

• Full payment has been received and confirmed.
• All necessary project documents (plan sets, specifications, addenda, or other materials required to complete the takeoff) have been received in a usable format.

PreconDesk is not liable for delays caused by incomplete submissions, unclear plan sets, missing documents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will communicate any expected delays as soon as they are identified.

4. Payment

Payment is required before work begins. Pricing is confirmed with the Client prior to starting any takeoff. By proceeding after receiving a price confirmation, the Client agrees to the quoted amount. All fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.

5. Revisions

PreconDesk will revise a completed takeoff if the deliverable does not accurately reflect the submitted plans and agreed-upon scope. Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Revisions are limited to corrections based on the original submitted documents. Changes in scope, updated plan sets, or new addenda issued after submission may be subject to additional fees.

6. Accuracy & Limitation of Liability

PreconDesk takeoffs are prepared as estimating aids only. While we strive for accuracy, quantity takeoffs are inherently subject to interpretation of plan documents and professional judgment. PreconDesk is not responsible for:

• Errors or omissions in the plans, specifications, or documents provided by the Client.
• Bid outcomes, project results, or financial losses arising from the use of our takeoffs.
• Decisions made by the Client or any third party based on our deliverables.
• Delays, cost overruns, or disputes arising from reliance on our takeoff quantities.

In no event shall PreconDesk's total liability to the Client exceed the amount paid for the specific takeoff in question.

7. Client Responsibilities

The Client is responsible for:

• Providing complete, legible, and current plan documents.
• Notifying PreconDesk of any addenda or revisions to the plans prior to delivery.
• Reviewing all deliverables promptly and raising any concerns within the revision window.
• Ensuring they have the right to share any documents submitted to PreconDesk.

8. Confidentiality

PreconDesk treats all submitted project documents as confidential. We will not share, sell, or distribute Client project information to any third party without explicit written consent, except as required by law.

9. Intellectual Property

Upon receipt of full payment, the Client owns the deliverables produced for their specific project. PreconDesk retains the right to use anonymized, non-identifiable project data for internal quality improvement purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from the use of PreconDesk services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

PreconDesk reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
